RESOLUTION NO. 2026-042
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING NO PARKING AREAS DURING SCHOOL DAYS
BETWEEN 8:00 AM AND 3:30 PM ON JANET COURT
WHEREAS, students that attend the Mounds View High School often park their vehicles on
Janet Court during school days; and,
WHEREAS, the existing parking restriction signage reads 2-Hour Parking 7:00 AM to 3:00
PM; and,
WHEREAS, the Ramsey County Sheriff Office has expressed the difficulty of enforcing the
existing parking restrictions; and,
WHEREAS, this situation creates a difficult and unsafe situation for the residents along Janet
Court; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council discussed the student parking issue on Janet Court at the City
Council Work Session held on August 10, 2026 and supported the parking restrictions as proposed.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF ARDEN
HILLS, MINNESOTA, that the City prohibits parking of motor vehicles on both sides of Janet Court
from Lake Valentine Road and including the cul-de-sac during school days between the times of 8:00
AM and 3:30 PM.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS THIS 14TH
DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 2026.
