RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING FEES FOR HEATING,
VENTILATING, AIR CONDITIONING AND SHEET
METAL WORK AND REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 80-62
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Arden Hills has determined
that permit fees shall be established by resolution adopted by the City Council,
and

WHEREAS, the Finance Committee, after careful study, has recommended
a change in the present fee schedule and change in percentage of fee to be
retained by the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that effective September 1, 1986,
the heating permit fees for installation, alteration or additions shall be
as follows:

Minimum fee for permit.
Each Gas Appliance (machine, device, heater, range,
refrigerator, gas dryer, gas stove, gas hot water heater
or other appliance requiring the use of manufactured gas
or liquid petroleum gas.
Gas piping - $500.00 valuation or less (repair or instal-
lation).
Each additional $500.00 cost of repair or installation.
Gas Burners or Gas Burner Equipment, Oil and Wood Burn-
ing Furnaces or Boilers
First 100,000 BTU input or less.
Each additional 100,000 input or fraction thereof.
Maximum fee for each unit.
Steam, Warm Air or Hot Water Heating System
First 100,000 BTU input for construction or alteration
of any warm air furnace duct work.
Each additional 100,000 BTU input or fraction.
First 100,000 BTU input per unit for installation or
replacement of each steam or hot water system.
Each additional 100,000 BTUs or fraction thereof.
(240 x EDR = BTUs/hr.)
Per unit on unit heaters, based on first 100,000 BTU
input.
Each additional 100,000 BTU input or fraction thereof.
Incinerators
Installation or repair of each domestic incinerator.
Installation or repair of each commercial incinerator.
Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Work
First 5 tons on any air conditioning or refrigeration
project (60,000 BTUs).
Each additional ton or fraction thereof (12,000 BTUs).
Maximum fee per unit.
First 5 tons (60,000 BTUs) of cooling for duct work for
air conditioning
Each ton (12,000 BTUs) or fraction thereof over first
5 tons for duct work for air conditioning.
Ventilating Systems
First 2,000 CFM per unit.
Each additional 1,000 CFM or fraction thereof per unit.
Each bathroom exhaust fan in a multiple dwelling.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that effective September I,
1986, the percentage of the permit fee to be retained by the City be changed to
25%.
