Extract of Minutes of Meeting
of City Council
City of Arden Hills

July 28, 1986
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting
of the City Council of the City of Arden Hills, Minnesota, was
duly held at the City Hall in said City on Monday, July 28, 1986,
commencing at 7:35 o'clock p.m.
The following members of the Council were present: Mayor
Woodburn and Council members Hansen and Sather. Council members
Peck and Hicks were absent.
Also in attendance were Clerk-Administrator McNiesh,
Deputy Clerk Zehm, Public Works Supervisor Raddatz, Treasurer
Lamb, and City Engineer Christoffersen.
City Engineer Christoffersen referred to the Council the
bid tabulation in connection with Improvement No. SS-W-P-ST-86-I,
Northwoods
and a
letter
from Barry Peters
of Engineer
Christoffersen's office recommending that the City award the
contract for the Improvement to the lowest bidder, M & M Sewer.
After some discussion, Council member Hansen introduced and moved
the adoption of the following Resolution:
RESOLUTION NO. 86-37

RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR
IMPROVEMENT NO. SS-W-P-ST-86-1 (NORTHWOODS)
WHEREAS, pursuant to Advertisement for Bids for Improve-
ment
No.
SS-W-P-ST-86-1,
Northwoods
(the
"Improvement"),
according to the plans and specifications (the "Plans") therefor
on file in the office of the Clerk-Administrator in the City,
bids were received on July 25, 1986 at 2:00 o'clock p.m., opened
.
and tabulated according to law, and
WHEREAS, the bids were received in compliance with the
Advertisement, and
WHEREAS, it appears that M & M Sewer is the lowest
responsible bidder at the tabulated price of $235,098.31,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA THAT:
1. M & M Sewer be awarded the right to construct
the Improvement;
2. The Mayor and Clerk-Administrator of the City
be authorized and directed to enter into a
contract--in the name of the City--with M & M
Sewer for its performance of all of the work
embodied in the Improvement for the sum of
$235,098.31 which work shall be done in
accordance with the Plans therefor heretofore
approved by the City Council (in Resolution No.
86-31 adopted by the Council on June 30, 1986)
and on file in the office of the Clerk-
Administrator; and
3. The Clerk-Administrator be authorized and
directed to return forthwith to all bidders the
deposits made with their bids except that the
deposits of M & M Sewer, the successful bidder,
and the next lowest bidder shall be retained
until contracts have been signed.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution
was duly seconded by Councilman Sather and, upon vote being taken

whereupon said
Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.

I, the undersigned, being the duly qualified and acting
Clerk-Administrator of the City of Arden Hills, Minnesota, do
hereby certify that I have carefully compared the attached and
foregoing extract of minutes of a regular meeting of the City
Council of said City held on the 28th day of July, 1986 with the
original thereof on file in my office, and the same is a full,
true and complete transcript thereof insofar as the same relates
to the proposed Improvement No. SS-W-P-ST-86-1 (Northwoods).
