HomeMy WebLinkAbout85-026 ., t . . t 'is'' s--~ (, Extract of Minutes of Meeting of City Council City of Arden Hills Ramsey County, Minnesota July 8, 1985 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arden Hills, Minnesota, was duly held at the City Hall in said City on Monday, July 8, 1985, commencing at 7:30 o'clock p.m. The following members of the Council were present: Mayor Woodburn and Council members Sather, Peck, Hansen and Hicks; and the following were absent: None. Also in attendance were Attorney Lynden, Engineer Christoffersen, Treasurer Lamb, Clerk-Administrator McNiesh, and Deputy Clerk Zehm. After the Council's brief discussion of the plans and specifications (prepared by the City Engineer) for Hamline Avenue Improvement 85-1, Phase I, Councilman Hicks introduced and moved the adoption of the following resolution: RESOLUTION NO. 85-26 RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR HAMLINE AVENUE IMPROVEMENT 85-1, PHASE I (SURCHARGING HAMLINE AVENUE BETWEEN FLORAL DRIVE AND STATE TRUNK HIGHWAY NO. 96) WHEREAS, pursuant to resolution passed by the City Council on April 29, 1985 (Resolution No. 85-18), the City Engineer has prepared plans and specifications (the "Plans") for Hamline Avenue Improvement 85-1, Phase I (Surcharging Hamline Avenue between Floral Drive and State Trunk Highway No. 96), the "Improvement", and has presented the Plans to the Council for . approval, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA THAT: 1. The Plans for the Improvement be approved in the form submitted by the City Engineer and be placed on file in the office of the Clerk-Administrator of the City; 2. The Clerk-Administrator prepare and cause to be inserted in the New Brighton Bulletin, the official paper of the City, and in the Construction Bulletin, an advertisement for the construction of the Improvement which shall specify the work to be done, call for bids upon the basis of a cash payment for such work, and shall state that (1) The bids will be received by the Clerk- Administrator until 2: 00 0 I clock p.m. on August 7, 1985 at the City Hall at which time and place they will be publicly opened by the Clerk-Administrator and the City Engineer, will then be tabulated, and will subsequently be considered by the Council; and (2) No bids shall be considered unless sealed and filed with the Clerk-Administrator and accompanied by a cash deposit, certified check or bid bond payable to the C1erk- Administrator in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the amount of such bid. The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Peck and, upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: All; and the . following voted against the same: None; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. - 2 - . .
