RESOLUTION NO. 85-11

RESOLUTION ALLOWING MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS SOCIETY TO OPERATE
A STATE GAMBLING CLASS B LICENSE IN THE
BIG TEN SUPPER CLUB
WHEREAS. effective March 1, 1985. all lawful gambling will
be subject to licensing and regulation by the State Charitable Gambling
Control Board. and
WHEREAS, the applicant for said State license is required
to notify the City that a gambling license application has been sub-
mitted to the State Board. and
WHEREAS, the gambling license. if approved by the Board.
will become effective within 30 days of said notice to the City unless
disapproved by the City Council. and
WHEREAS. the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Minnesota
North Star Chapter, has applied for a Class B Gambling License to
operate at the Big Ten Supper Club. 4703 N. Highway 10. in Arden Hills,
and notified the City on January 28, 1985 of the application. and
WHEREAS. the City Council reviewed the request at its
meeting on February ll. 1985,
NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED. that the City
Council approves the granting of said license for one year. subject
to re-evaluation prior to renewal of said license and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk Administrator is
directed to send a certified copy of this Resolution to the Minnesota
Charitable Gambling Control Board.
Passed by the Arden Hills City Council this 11th day of
February, 1985.
