RESOLUTION NO. 93-54 A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE USE OF THE NEW BRIGHTON CITY HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS TO HOLD THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS' CITY COUNCIL AND PLANNING COMMISSION MEETINGS WHEREAS, the city has experienced a serious shortage of space for staff, files, records and public meetings; and WHEREAS, this space shortage has caused the City to commence planning for a site acquisition and the construction for new City Hall and Public Works buildings, which process may not be finalized for approximately 2+ years; and WHEREAS, the city has investigated optional public and private locations within the City limits in which to hold meetings; and WHEREAS, these locations are unacceptable due to capacity; scheduling difficulties; handicap accessibility; parking availability; and/or lack of public cable access; . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city council of the city of Arden Hills, Minnesota: 1. The Mayor and City council approves the temporary use of the New Brighton city council Chambers for City council and Planning commission meetings beginning in November 1993. 2. That the City of Arden Hills has notified the public of this change through a legal notice placed in the New Brighton Bulletin, the official newspaper on October 6 and October 20, 1993, and as a general block ad in the New Brighton Bulletin and the Focus of Lillie Suburban Newspaper on October 27, 1993. 3. That the City of Arden Hills will continue to abide by Minnesota Statutes in advising the public of the correct location of city council and Planning Commission meetings, and will post such changes on the entrance of the current city Hall facility. 4. By adoption of this Resolution it is the intent of the Arden Hills' City council to fully comply with all Public Access Regulations of the Minnesota Open Meeting law. .
