PROCLAMATION
"INTERNATIONAL ALPHA DELTA KAPPA" MONTH
OCTOBER 1993
WHEREAS, Women in education constitute a great portion of the
nation's working force, and are constantly striving to
serve their communities and nations in educational,
civic, cultural, and peace among all people; and

WHEREAS, Major goals of Alpha Delta Kappa international
honorary society for women educators are:
to give recognition to outstanding educators,
to build a fraternal fellowship among educators
adding to their effectiveness in the promoting of
excellence in education,
to establish high standards in education,
to promote educational and charitable projects
and activities enriching the lives of individuals
everywhere; and to assist these individuals
toward a happy, constructive, and fulfilling
life;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED I, Thomas Sather, Mayor of the
City of Arden Hills, do hereby proclaim the Month of October
1993 as
"INTERNATIONAL ALPHA DELTA KAPPA" Month
in this city and do urge all citizens to honor women in
education and to recognize their great contributions toward the
profession of teaching and the development of the individual.
