RESOLUTION NO. 93-10

RESOLUTION REVISING WATER UTILITY RATES
EFFECTIVE APRIL 1, 1992 AND JANUARY 1, 1993
WHEREAS, City water utility rates have not been increased
since July I, 1987, and;
WHEREAS, the Finance Committee has reviewed the water
utility rate structure and determined that, since operating costs, as well
as the cost of water purchased from st. Paul, have increased significantly
since that time, an increase in rates to consumers is necessary to enable
the utility to remain self-supporting, and;
WHEREAS, the Finance Committee has recommended that the
Council increase water rates to meet actual operating costs;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that effective April 1, 1992
and January 1, 1993, water utility rates be revised as follows:
Water Rates will be increased from $1.27 per thousand qallonsto
$1.49 per thousand qallons effective April 1. 1992 and then be
increased to $1.79 per thousand qallons effective January 1. 1993.
Ouarterly minimum charqes will be adiusted as follows:

The Standby rates will not be increased.
The city will continue it's policy of having no
minimum charge for senior and totally disabled citizens.
