RESOLUTION NO. 92-20
RESOLUTION COMMENDING DANIEL A. WINKEL
FOR 6 YEARS SERVICE AS FIRE CHIEF OF
THE LAKE JOHANNA VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, Dan Winkel has served the community of Arden Hills as
Fire Chief of the Lake Johanna Volunteer Fire Department for the
past 6 years, and;
WHEREAS, during Dan's tenure as Fire Chief, he was instrumental
in completing the construction of two new fire stations and
recruitment of volunteer firefighters necessary to man these
stations, and;
WHEREAS, also during Dan's service as Fire Chief, new equipment
was purchased which reduced property losses from fire damage and
provided the tools necessary for the volunteer firefighters to
effectively perform their duties, and;

WHEREAS, under the direction of Chief Winkel a new level of
communication and cooperation between the Fire Department and the
member cities was achieved,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Arden Hills city Council
on behalf of all residents extends sincere appreciation and
commends Dan Winkel for this faithful and dedicated service to
the community as Fire Chief of the Lake Johanna Volunteer Fire
Department.
