RESOLUTION NO. 90-40
RESOLUTION HONORING ROBERT O. ASHBACH
WHEREAS, Robert O. Ashbach, 40 year resident of Arden Hills,
was appointed Trustee of the vill3ge on December 10, 1953; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Ashbach resigned as Trustee on March 30, 1954, to
fill out the unexpired term of Mayor; and
WHEREAS, Robert Ashbach served as Mayor of Arden Hills from
December 6, 1955 to December 27, 1962; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Ashbach served in the Minnesota House from 1962
to 1966, and in the Senate from 1967 to 1982; and
WHEREAS, Bob's service to the State of Minnesota, city of
Arden Hills and its residents were characterized by fairness,
careful consideration of all issues and openness which earned
the respect of residents and staff equally.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Arden Hills city
Council, on behalf of itself and all the citizens of Arden
Hills, hereby expresses it deep regret at the recent death of
Mr. Ashbach; and
BE IT FUR~HER RESOLVED, that the Arden Hills city council
extends its sympathy to Mr. Ashbach's family in their loss.
Adopted by the Arden Hills city Council this 29th day of
October, 1990.
