RESOLUTION NO. 89-48
RESOLUTION DENYING CLASS B GAMBLING LICENSE REQUEST
WHEREAS, the Shoreview/Arden Hills Lions Club has requested permission for
a Class B gambling license to operate at the Big Ten Supper Club located
in Arden Hills; and
WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills currently has a moratorium on the number
of gambling licenses allowed within the City limits; and
WHEREAS, the number of gambling licenses i~ currently at the maximum
number allowed, which is nine; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does not wish to increase the number of gambling
licenses allowed in the City at the present time.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Arden Hills City Council, that the
request for a Class B gambling license by the ShoreviewfArden Hills Lions
Club to operate at the Big Ten Supper Club is hereby denied, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a certified copy of this Resolution be sent to
the Charitable Gambling Control Board for their records.
Adopted by the Arden Hills City Council this 25th day of September, 1989.
