RESOLUTION NO. 89-45
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR
1989 PAVEMENT MANAGEMENT IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS. pursuant to an advertisement for bids for proposed 1989 Pavement
Management Improvements, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to
law, and the following bids were received complying with said advertisement:

Bituminous Consulting & Contracting Co., Inc.
Valley Paving, Inc.
Bituminous Roadways, Inc.
Alber Construction, Inc.
Ashbach Construction Company
TOTAL BID
$70,664.90
72,485.75

WHEREAS, the Engineer's estimate was: $75,000; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has noted that Bituminous Consulting and Contracting
Company. Inc., of Minneapolis, MN, be declared the lowest responsible bidder.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Arden
Hills, as follows:
1. That the bids for the project are hereby received and accepted.
2. That Bituminous Consulting and Contracting Company, Inc., is hereby
declared to be the lowest responsible bidder.
3. That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed
to execute and deliver any and all contracts and documents necessary to
consummate the bid award for the above described improvement to Bituminous
Consulting and Contracting Company. Inc., of Minneapolis, MN.
4. That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return to all
bidders the bid bonds submitted with their bids, except that the bid bond
of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained
until a contract has been signed.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Arden Hills this 28th day of August,
1989.
