CITY OF ARDEN HILLS
RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION NO. 89-35
RESOLUTION RESCINDING A PORTION OF RESOLUTION NO. 76-59
WHEREAS, the League of Minnesota Cities/ERA has changed its rules
regarding workmen's compensation for volunteers; and
WHEREAS, the impact of these changes costs the City $4,618 in increased
insurance premiums; and
WHEREAS, the League/EBA recommends that providing workmen's compensation
insurance to volunteer committee/board members is unnecessary; and
WHEREAS, the City's liability insurance would defend and indemnify the
City from any loss incurred hy a volunteer committee/board member.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Arden Hills rescinds the following boards/committees be deleted from the
City's workmen's compensation insurance endorsement effective January 1,
1989:
Board of Appeals 5 members
. Cable & Citizens Advisory 10 members
Civil Defense 2 members
Finance Commission 10 members
Human Rights 10 members
Newsletter Publication 4 members
Parks and Recreation 11 members
Planning 9 members
Public Safety & Works 11 members
Underground Utilities 3 members
Adopted by the Arden Hills City Council this 30th day of May, 1989.
