RESOLUTION NO. 89-32
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR PAVING
HAZELNUT PARK BIKE PATH
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for proposed paving of
Hazelnut Park Bike Path, bids were received, opened and tabulated
according to law, and the following bids were received complying with said
advertisement:
Ace Blacktop
Bituminous Consulting & Contracting
W.B. Miller
Valley Paving
TOTAL BID
$19,506.00
20,267.95
21,381.25
22,816.25
BIDDER
WHEREAS, the Engineer's estimate was: $20,825, and
WHEREAS. the City Engineer has noted that Ace B1aektop, of Inver,
Grove Heights, be declared the lowest responsible bidder.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Arden Hills, as follows:
1. That the bids for the project are hereby received and aceepted.
2. That Ace Blacktop

3. That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and
directed to execute and deliver any and all contracts and documents
necessary to consummate the bid award for the above described
improvement to Ace Blacktop of Inver Grove Heights.
4. That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return to
all bidders the bid bonds submitted with their bids, except that the
bid bond of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be
retained until a contract has been signed.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Arden Hills this 30th day of
May, 1989.
