RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR CLEVELAND AVENUE LIFT STATION (SS-W-89-1) WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for proposed improvements to the Cleveland Avenue lift station, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with said advertisement: BIDDER BASE BID ALTERNATE TOTAL BID B & D Underground C.W. Lametti & Sons Nodland Construction Northdale Construction o & P Contracting Volk Sewer & Water $109,506.55 112,840.50 110,916.00 176,502.50 131,468.90 106,880.20 117,230.65 $102,106.40 95,146.75 95,250.20 134,997.00 102,951.90 123,503,92 95,051. 85 $211,612.95 207,987.25 206,166.20 311,499.50 234,420.80 230,384.12 212,282.50 and WHEREAS, the Engineer's estimate was: Base- $116,230.00, and Alternate- $92,691.00, for a total bid of $208,921.00; and WHEREAS, the City Engineer has recommended that Lametti & Sons, of Hugo, be declared the lowest responsible bidder. . NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Arden Hills, as follows: 1. That the bids for the project are hereby received and accepted. 2. That Lametti & Sons is hereby declared to be the lowest responsible bidder. 3. That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver any and all contracts and documents necessary to consummate the bid award for the above described improvement to Lametti & Sons. 4. That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
