Resolution No. 88-41
RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE LAST SATURDAY IN APRIL AS ARBOR DAY
AND MAYAS ARBOR MONTH
WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills is committed to enhancing
the beauty of the City, and
WHEREAS, the citizens of Arden Hills have been assisting the
Arden Hills Parks Committee in planting trees in city parks for several
years, and
WHEREAS, the citizens of Arden Hills planted trees in
Cummings Park, Hazelnut Park, Arden Oaks Park and North Snelling Park, and
along pedestrian trails on April 30, 1988, and
WHEREAS, Arbor Day is a time to appreciate the contributions
made by shade trees to our City and to undertake a coordinated and
cooperative effort to increase the shade tree population within our city
parks.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Arden Hills City
Council hereby proclaims the last Saturday in April as "Arbor Day", and
the month of Mayas "Arbor Month".
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Arden Hills City Council
urges the public-spirited and foresighted citizens of Arden Hills to
assist in the planting of trees for the enjoyment and pleasure of future
generations.
