RESOLUTION NO. 88-17
A RESOLUTION (1) APPROVING THE FIRE PROTECTION AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS AND THE LAKE JOHANNA
VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT, INC. AND (2) AUTHORIZING MAYOR
AND CLERK-ADMINISTRATOR TO SIGN THE AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the Lake Johanna Volunteer Fire Department (the "Fire
Department") has provided fire protection services on a contractual basis
to the City of Arden Hills (the "City") for many years, and
WHEREAS, negotiators for the Fire Department and the City--for
many months prior to the date hereof--have been negotiating specific
contractual details as to their relationship with one another henceforth
which are now embodied in the Fire Protection Agreement (the "Agreement"),
a copy of which is appended hereto, and
WHEREAS, it would be in the best interest of the City and its
citizens for the City Council to approve the Agreement,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City that the Agreement be approved in all respects and the Mayor and
Clerk-Administrator be authorized and directed to execute the same on
behalf of the City.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk-Administrator of the City
be authorized and directed to furnish a certified copy of this Resolution
to the Fire Department along with an executed copy or original of the
Agreement.
Passed by the City Council of the City this 27th day of June,
1988.
