RESOLUTION NO. 88-12
RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING FEES FOR ELECTRICAL PERMITS
AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 82-64
WHEREAS, Section 6-91 of the City Code provides that fees for
electrical permits be established by resolution adopted by the City Council,
and;
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 82-64 established electrical permit fees
effective 1/1/83,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that effective April 1, 1988, the
permit fees shall be as follows:
1. Minimum fee for each separate inspection of an installation,
replacement, alteration or repair limited to one inspection
only $15.00

Services, changes of service, temporary services, additions,
alterations, or repairs on either primary or secondary
services shall be computed separately:
o to 100 ampere capacity
101 to and including 200 ampere capacity

3. Circuits, installations of, additions, alterations, or
repairs of each circuit or sub-feeder shall be computed
separately, including circuits fed from sub-feeders and
including the equipment served, except as provided for in
4 through 10:

4. Maximum fee on a single family dwelling shall not exceed $75.00 if not
over 200 ampere capacity. This includes service, feeders, circuits,
fixtures and equipment. The maximum fee provides for not more than two
rough-in inspections and the final inspection per dwelling. Additional
inspections at the re-inspection rate.

5. Maximum fee on an apartment building shall not exceed $35.00 per dwelling
unit for the first 20 units and $30.00 per dwelling unit for the balance
of the units. A two-unit

10. In addition to the above fees, unless included in the maximum fee filed by
the initial installer, remote control, signal circuits, and circuits of
less than 30 volts shall be computed at $4.00 per each ten openings or
devices of each system plus $2.00 for each additional ten or fraction
thereof.
11. In addition to the above fees, the inspection fee for each separate
inspection of a swimming pool shall be computed at $20.00, reinforcing
steel for swimming pools requires a rough-in inspection.
12. For the review of plans and specifications of proposed installations,
there shall be a m~n~mum fee of $125.00 up to and including $30,000 of
electrical estimate, plus 1/10 of 17. of any amount in excess of $30,000 to
be paid by persons or firms requesting the review.
13. When reinspect ion is necessary to determine whether unsafe conditions have
been corrected and such conditions are not subject of an appeal pending
before any court, a reinspect ion fee of $15.00 may be assessed in writing
by the inspector.
14. For inspections not covered herein, or for requested special inspections
or services, the fee shall be $20.00 per man hour, including travel time,
plus 21 cents per mile traveled, plus the reasonable cost of equipment or
material consumed. This section is also applicable to inspection of empty
conduits and such jobs as determined by the City.
15. For inspection of transient projects, including but not limited to,
carnivals and circuses, the inspections fees shall be computed as follows:
