RESOLUTION NO. 87-67
RESOLUTION SETTING A MORATORIUM ON ADDITIONAL CHARITABLE GAMBLING
LICENSES AND AUTHORIZING THE CLERK ADMINISTRATOR
TO REJECT APPLICATIONS THEREFOR
WHEREAS, the Arden Hills City Council has determined that an
Ordinance should be considered setting standards for any charitable
gambling conducted within the City of Arden Hills, and has instructed the
City Attorney to draft such an Ordinance; and,
WHEREAS, nine (9) charitable gambling licenses have been
issued and the Council desires to issue no more; and,

Ordinance is
WHEREAS, the Council has further determined that it is not
to consider any additional applications until such time as an
adopted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARDEN HILLS, that, commencing this date, there shall be nine (9)
charitable gambling licenses, and that there shall be a moratorium on the
issuance of any additional charitable gambling licenses until such time as
an Ordinance has been approved and adopted by the Arden Hills City
Council; andt
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk Administrator is
hereby authorized, on behalf of the Council, to reject any and all
charitable gambling license applications until such time that a Charitable
Gambling Ordinance is approved and adopted by the Council, and is directed
to provide the Charitable Gambling Board with a certified copy of this
Resolution, and to advise the Board of its prospective rejection of any
further Charitable Gambling License applications until this Resolution is
revoked.
Adopted by the Arden Hills City Council this 26th day of
October, 1987.
