CITY OF ARDEN HILLS
RESOLUTION NO. 87-33
WHEREAS, the Arden Hills City Council has reviewed the provisions
of an Extension of the Fire Protection Agreement between the City of Arden
Hills and the Lake Johanna Volunteer Fire Department, Inc., which has been
dated the 29th day of June, 1987; and
WHEREAS, the Arden Hills City Council has determined that it
would be in the best interests of the City of Arden Hills to enter into
such an Agreement for Extension;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Clerk of the
~ City of Arden Hills are hereby authorized to execute the attached Fire
Protection Agreement. Extension.

EXTENSION AGREEMENT
.
THIS AGREEMENT, Made this 29th day of June, 1987, by and between the
City of Arden Hills, MN (hereinafter referred to as the "the City"), a
statutory city under the laws of the State of Minnesota, and the Lake Johanna
Volunteer Fire Department, Inc., (hereinafter referred to as "the Fire
Department"), a Minnesota corporation.
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, the City and the Fire Department are signatories to that
certain

Protection
Agreement,
(hereinafter
referred to as "the

Agreement"), originally dated the 11th day of October, 1977 , which now expires
on the 30th day of June, 1987; and,
WHEREAS, the City and the Fire Department are presently re-negotiating
the terms of the Agreement, but have not reached a conclusion; and,
WHEREAS, the City and Fire Department desire to extend the terms of
the Agreement pending conclusion of their negotiations so that the City will
have fire protection services, and the Fire Department will have assurances
that their services will be remunerated under the levels specified in the
Agreement;

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the City and the Fire Department have executed
this Extension Agreement as of the day and year first above written.
