RESOLUTION NO. 97-33
A RESOLUTION CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING IN THE MATTER OF
GA TEW A Y BUSINESS DISTRICT (GBD) IMPROVEMENTS
FOURTEENTHSTREETNE
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 97-20, adopted by the City Council on Apri114, 1997, ordered a
Feasibility Report to be prepared for various street and utility improvements related to the
Gateway Business District (GBD); and
WHEREAS, said report has been prepared by Howard R. Green CompanylMSA Consulting
Engineers with reference to the improvement of Fourteenth Street east of West Round Lake
Road; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 97-29, adopted by the City Council on May 27,1997, accepted the
Feasibility Report and ordered plans and specifications to be prepared for said proposed
improvements; and
WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the proposed project is
necessary, cost-effective, and feasible; and
WHEREAS, the developer has petitioned for the improvements to Fourteenth Street NE.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Arden Hills,
Minnesota:
1. The City Council will consider the improvement of such street in accordance with
the report and the assessment of abutting property for all or a portion of the cost of
the improvement, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, at an estimated
total cost of the improvement of$I,195,280.
2.
A public hearing shall be held on such improvement on the 28th day of July,
1997, in the Council Chambers of the New Brighton City Hall, 803 Fifth Avenue
NW, New Brighton, MN, at 7:30 p.m.

3. The City Clerk! Administrator is hereby directed to cause a notice of the hearing to
be published once in the official newspaper at least two (2) weeks prior to the
hearing, and to provide ten (10) days mailed notice as required by law.
