RESOLUTION NO. 97-54
A RESOLUTION RECEIVING FEASIBILITY REPORT AND CALLING A PUBLIC
HEARING IN THE MATTER OF THE 1998 STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, pursuant to resolution of the Council adopted August 11, 1997, a Feasibility Report
has been prepared by Howard R. Green, Consulting Engineers with reference to the improvement
of various streets within the City of Arden Hills, and this report was received by the Council on
September 8, 1997; and
WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the proposed project is
necessary, cost-effective, and feasible; and
WHEREAS, West Round Lake Road has been eliminated from the project; and
WHEREAS, informational meetings have been scheduled to gather public input regarding the
improvement on the l7th of November; and
WHEREAS, the Feasibility Report shall be amended to include public comment prior to a
formal Public Hearing, scheduled for the 8th of December of 1997.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Arden Hills,
Minnesota:
1. The Council will consider the improvement of such streets in accordance with the report
and the assessment of abutting property for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement
pursuant to Minuesota Statutes Chapter 429 at an estimated total cost ofthe improvement
of$1,302,555.
2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on the 8th day of
December of 1997 in the Council chambers of the City of New Brighton City Hall at 7:30
p.m. and the Clcrk shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and
improvements as required by law.
