RESOLUTION NO. 95-12
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICATION FOR
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANTS FUNDS
WHEREAS, the Army is actively undertaking the legal process to declare the Twin City Army
Ammunition Plant as excess; and
WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills has been directed by Congressman Vento to complete a
reuse plan within one year for the reuse ofthe Twin City Army Ammunition
Plant; and
WHEREAS, the Congressman has also created a reuse committee to assist in the preparation of
the plan but has appropriated no funds to assist this committee; and
WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills intends to have a Planning Consultant to assist the city in
the preparation of the reuse plan; and
WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills has not yet incurred any significant costs or has not
entered into any written agreements; and
WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills has the legal authority to apply for financial assistance and
has the institutional, managerial, and financial capability to ensure the appropriate
use of these funds,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Administrator, is hereby authorized
to submit an application for Community Development Block Grant Funds from Ramsey County.
