RESOLUTION NO. 94-10
RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING
AN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Arden Hills has determined
that the preservation of its tax base, creation of jobs and general
welfare of its citizens is in its best interest; and
WHEREAS, the City has the ability from time to time to create
Committees which shall report to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City has considered the recommendations from the
Economic Development Task Force
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARDEN HILLS,
1.
An Economic Development Committee is hereby established
in and for the City, The mission of this Committee shall
be to represent the community, assist local business, and
to advise the City Council. This would be accomplished
through:
* Working to provide a favorable climate for
development and redevelopment,
* Retention and expansion of existing businesses,
* Attraction of new business activities,
2. The Economic Development Committee will be governed by a
board of nine (9) members appointed by the City Council,
The Committee will be staffed by the Community Planning
Coordinator and one (1) Council liaison,
3, The Economic Development Committee be appointed under
staggered terms of 1, 2, and 3 years,
