RESOLUTION NO. 99-40
RESOLUTION RECEIVING FEASIBILITY REPORT
IN THE MATTER OF THE 2000 STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, pursuant to resolution of the Council adopted October 12, 1999, a Preliminary
Feasibility Report has been prepared by BRW, Consulting Engineers, with reference to
improvements of various streets within the City of Arden Hills, and this report was received by
the City Council on November 29, 1999; and
WHEREAS, the attached report provides information regarding whether the proposed project is
necessary, cost effective, and feasible; and
WHEREAS, informational meetings and public hearings will bc scheduled to gather public
input regarding the improvement at a later date.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Arden Hills,
Minnesota:
1.
The Council will consider the improvement of such streets in accordance with the
report and the assessment of abutting property for all or a portion ofthe cost ofthe
improvement, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, at an estimated
maximum cost of the improvement of$2,250,000, Final costs to be determined
based upon the scope of work and alternates that are selected by the City Council
following input from the public at informational meetings and public hearings,
2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on the 10'" day of
January, 2000, in the Council Chambers of the Arden Hills City Hall at 7:00 p.m.,
and the Clerk shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and
improvement as required by law.
