RESOLUTION NO. 98-06
A RESOLUTION ORDERING A TRAFFIC
STUDY FOR THE HIGHWAY 96IHIGHWAY 10 CORRIDOR
WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota turned back Trunk Highway 96 to Ramsey County;
and
WHEREAS, a Task Force Committee formed by Ramsey County has determined that
Highway 96 be upgraded; and
WHEREAS, Ramsey County will receive County State Aid Highway (CSAH) turnback
funds to assist in the upgrade of Highway 96; and
WHEREAS, Ramsey County will seek Federal Funding as appropriate to assist in the
upgrade of Highway 96; and
.
WHEREAS, Ramsey County and Minnesota Department of Transportation officials have
presented preliminary plans and options for the upgrade of Highway 96 to
the Arden Hills City Council at their November 10, 1997 Council Meeting
and December 15, 1997 Council W orksession; and
WHEREAS, the Arden Hills City Council at the December 15, 1997 Worksession
directed staff to obtain a traffic study for the Highway 96lHighway 10
Corridor.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Arden Hills,
Minnesota that the proposed Highway 96 upgrade be referred to BRW for the completion
of a Traffic Study and that BR W is instructed to report to the council with all convenient
speed advising the council the results of that study.
