RESOLUTION NO. 98-47
A RESOLUTION APPROVING LOCAL PERFORMANCE AID
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, Section 477A.05, provide for Local Performance Aid; and
WHEREAS, in order to qualify for this aid, the City must develop a system of performance
measures in compliance with Minnesota Statutes, Section 477A.05; and
WHEREAS, the City has qualified for aid in 1997 and 1998 without having a system of
performance measures in place; and
WHEREAS, the City believes it has the ability to identify a specific program for which
performance measures can be developed, monitored, and reported; and
WHEREAS, the City would propose that the Local Performance Aid be used to determine the
effectiveness of city communication efforts with residents; and
. WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills would like to qualify for Local Performance Aid.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Arden Hills,
Minnesota, that the City intends to implement a system of performance measures; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City supports the completion of the Certificate of
Local Performance Measures for Local Performance Aid Payable in 1999 and that this document
be forwarded to the appropriate state agency.

CERTIFICATION
RESOLUTION NO. 98-47
The undersigned, being the duly qualified and acting City Administrator of the City of Arden
Hills, Minnesota, hereby certifies the following:
The foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution on file and of official, publicly
available record in the office of the City. Said resolution was duly adopted by the City
Council at a regular meeting of the Council held on June 29 , 1998. Said meeting
was duly called, regularly held, open to the public, and held at the place at which
meetings of the Council are regularly held. Councilmember Aplikowski moved the
adoption of the resolution, which motion was seconded by Councilmember Hicks
whereupon majority vote, said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
WITNESS MY HAND AND SEAL OF OFFICE as the City Administrator of the City of Arden
Hills, Minnesota, this 30th day of June , 1998.
