RESOLUTION NO. 98-48
A RESOLUTION ORDERING A PUBLIC HEARING IN THE MATTER OF AN
ORDINANCE AND JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF
ROSEVILLE REGARDING SURFACE WATER USE ON LAKE JOSEPHINE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of Arden Hills recognizes the fact that surface water activity
has increased each year on Lake Josephine, and
WHEREAS, people involved in the surface water activities need regulations under which
those activities should be conducted to provide a safe environment for all people involved
in those activities, and
WHEREAS, Lake Josephine jurisdiction is shared by the Cities of Roseville and Arden
Hills as those city's boundaries divide the Lake, and
.
WHEREAS, the City of Roseville has agreed on a Joint Powers Agreement and Ordinance
regulating surface water use on Lake Josephine, and
WHEREAS, the City ofRoseville will be holding a Public Hearing on this matter on
August 10, 1998.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the city council of the city of Arden Hills,
MN.
That a Public Hearing will be held on the 31 st day of August, 1998 in the Council
Chambers of the City of Arden Hills City Hall, located at 4364 West Round Lake Road, at
7:30 p.m. on the matter of a Joint Powers Agreement and an Ordinance regulating surface
water use on Lake Josephine.
