The meeting was cailed to order at 7:30 p.m, by Mayor Bjorndahl.

• Motion was made by Councilman Crepeau, seconded by Councilman Olmen,
that the Vtllage ot Arden.Hills petition th� Ramsey County aoard
ot Commtssioners for permission on the part of Skelly O.il Company
?o undertake ali actions necessary to complete approximately 40 feet
of 6Qinch culvert along Lexington Avenue, on County property, pur-
suant to the completion of the n�w Skelly servlce station at the
intersection of Red Fox Road and Lex(ngton Avenue. Motion carried
unanimousty. (See Vil�age Council m{�utes of September 8, l969 for
further detall.)
Set Back Variances - Rollinq Htils Road
Motion was made by Councilman Crepeau, seconded by Councilman Olmen,
that front yard set back varlances be approved for Lots 3,4 and 5, 81ock
29, Shorewood Hilis No. 6, as follows:
Lot 3,_Biock_29,_Shor�wood Hilis No. 6_ (Krannak)
Front yard set back changed from 40 feet to 37 feet.
Lot 4,_Block 29, Shorewood_Hills No. 6(Stevens-Case No. 64-32)
Front yard set back changed from 40 fee't to 37 feet.
Lot 5, elock 29, Shorewood Hfils No. 6(Arneson-Case No. 69-25)
Front yard set back changed from 40 feet to 38 feet.
Motion carried unanimously.
Tri-State Improvement Proiect - Grey Fox Road
Letter from Attorney Courtney dated Saptember 15, 1969 was review-
ed by the Council. MoYion was made by Councilman Crepeau, seconded
by Councilman 0{men, that the Tri-State Improvement Project - Grey
Fox Road be ordered� Motton carried
unanimously.
Engfneer ponald Lund presented e tabulation of bids taken on the
proJect today at 11:30 a.m. He reported that Minn-Kota Excavating,
Inc. submitted the low bid at 539�463.75. Mr. Kenneth �ergstrom,
President of Minn-Kota was present. He stated that thore wouid
be a 45 day period needed for delivery of the water pipe for the
project but, barring too much rafn, he telt he could install the
road portion of the proJect by the completion date of October 31,
1969.
. After Councll discussion, motion was made by Councilman Crepeau,
seconded by Councilman 0lmen,that the Council award the contract
to MTnn-Kota Excavating, Inc. for the amount ot 539,463.75, with
a completion date of October 31, 1969�
Motion carried unanimously.
The contractor was asked to send the Vi!lage a letter regarding
plpe delfvery date.
The bids and bonds were referred to Attorney Courtney before for-
rnal contracts are signed.
Door to Door Solicitation Ordinance
Motfort was made by.Councilman Crepeau, seconded by Councfiman Olmen,
that AN ORDiNANCE PROHIDIT�NG DOOR TO DOOR SOLICITA710N OR PEDDLING
.AND ESTABLISHING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION be introduced by tltle.
Motion carried unanimously. The proposed ordinance was referred
to the Public Safety Committee.

letter dated Sep-tember 15, 1969 from Attorney Courtney was dis-
cussed. The matter was held tor the next Council meating 4or
action.
