T+1r. Scraf'flouer of t?ction Construction Compa�y asked if Council were going to avrasd sewer
bids and stated his compax�y can start work immediately on 1i£t station if awarded the con—
tract. Attorney Courtney reported that Council should be ready to airard contracts by end
of this week or first part of next week.
Fin�nce Committee: A public hearing on the 19�0 Village budset iaas set for October 12, 1g59
at 8:00 p.m, at the Village :�11.
Mavor's Reoort: P�Sayor Ashbach placed all sewer constxuction bids for Project 1 and 2 in
Clerk's files.
•A pablic hessing for proposed new Highway 51 vras set for �ctober 12 at 8:00 p.m. at the
Village =ja11. Tne proposed hignwa� vrill especiallj� affect residents of the Arden Hills

Public Sa.fets: Vic 1'leber, Police Chief, reaorted tk_at police department had some trouble
policing rIounds View FIigh School at beginnin�; of school year but departaent is �ettino
matter somewhat under control.
Clerk read a letter frora Supt. Reeder saying the scl-,001 district has no i'unds to aid us in
policing schools.
• A letter irom Ramsey County sherrif£'s office offerin� paid police uervice to the Village
was referred to Attorney Coustney.
Attorne:,r's Report: Courtney reported he is still worla ng on the Joseplyc Besch Civil �e—
fense injur-,� case.
Roger Short of Bannister Ehgineering distributed a complete tabulation of sewer bids on
Improvement #1, Projects 1 and 2 to Council.
Council, Engineer Snort and Attorney Courtney discussed at length a proposed mutual sewer
agreement ordinance between Arden Hi11s and �oseville. Attorney Courtney to rrork with
Roseville attorney on tne natter.
Clerk's Renort: Clerk presented 3 license applications for garbage �nd rubbish hauling in
Arden iiills. Motion made by Kennedy, seconded by Crepeau that applications of Twin City
Disposal Service Co., Inc. and Bo�rer Garbage Service be given Council approval suUject to
�ealth officer's approval, hYotion passed.
� Council requested that Robert L�7, idixon be requested to turn in nore complete achedule of
fees before license is anproved.
A letter from Kalman and Company, Inc. re: sev�er financing 4��s referred to the Finance
C ommi.ttee .
