Peterson from Bannister EngineePing Co. The minutea of the regular oounail msetipg of May 22 , 1961 were approned as aubmitted. �. ROBERT TROBOUGH, 2038 Dfiounds Ave. appeared before the council agaig with the3r oomplainta of dust, drainage and noiae in connection with the Jehonah�s Witneas church. Bir. Crepeau atated that the Village Police Dept. certainlg would cooperate to atop unnecessarg noiae but that meetiqgs of the religious group could aot be limited. Mr. Olmen, coimnissioner of Public Works stated that he had been in touch with a representative of the church on several oceasions. He has promised to correct the dirt and drainage problem. MR. 9PASIEI,EW�SKI of 1605 Iake Johanna Blvd. appeared before the council with a request i'or council opinion on the possibility of the VFW p�hase of the old fire atation. Mr. Kennedy stated that Mr. Olmen and he were commiss- ioned at the June 8, 1961 3pecial Council Meetipg to negotiate for the purchase of the fire station £or the village for storage of Vil]a ge equip- ment. Mr. Keanedy further stated that a request to purchase the fire station by the VF'W should oome before the counail ae a formal requeat. The fire station }aad been considered for use as a librarg but there is inadequate parking facilitiea. Mr. Olmen atated that the Village needs a place for storage of equipment. 9Pith the installation of the sewer system equ.pment for flushing the sewera now is needed. Vil].age trucks and plowing equipment will eventuelly be acquired and ❑eed to be stored. Also the village needa more of£ice space. The police department of'fice could move to the fire atation leaving more space in the village hall. MR. CREPEAU advisetl Mr. YPasielewaki that the Sportmen�s Club wanted someone to go with them ip sharing costs of conatruction of a buildidg on property they now own. BQR. TiENN'EDY suggested that �1r. Olmen and he would meet with Mr. Ehlera, the Fire Chief to work out negotiationa and purchase price and report to a future council meetiqg. At that time the matter will be referred to the Finapoe Committee to see if it can be worked into the budget and paid for in cash. A+Il?. VINCENT COURTNEY, Village Attorpey, has said the building cannot be purchased on a contract basis but must be paid for in cash or iasue bonds. I�Hr. Crepesu felt the f ull counoil should be present to vote on this isaue. MR. FiICHARD BAftTSCH, 1814 VP. Countg Rd. F registered a complaint about a hola left by Barbarossa, the sewer contrsctor, in the back of his yard next to his driveway cauaing settlement of his driveway. Iie wanted to know if Barbarossa could come and fill this ip. h'ffi. PETERSON of Bannister Eagineering stated that aome provisiop ehould be made for drainage from the school property right next to Mr. Bartach�s property. Page 2 Matter referred to Mr. Paterson who stated that there was no provision to resod Mr. Bartsch�s bank but the filling in would be taken care of. • A RESIDENT from 1520 Jerrold Ave. inquired about road maiptenapce at the present time. Mr. Olmen stated that dangerous holes wese being tal�en care of but any extensive road maiptenanae was being withheld until after tha road hearings. MR3. NEAMY, 3171 No. Lexington oomplained that the road bsek of her garage ia still in bad shape due to the sewer project. 3he cannot get her lswn mower to the back of her yard and has aot besp able to get her garden in yet. Matter referred to bTr. Peterson of Bannister Enginearing 1�?. JOAN LINDEMER askad the aonncil ipformation regarding hia applicatioq for transfer of licensea from Don Stecker of the Wagop �heel to himseli'. The Finanae Committee recommended the transfer of this licenae to Mr. I,indemer with the following two provisiopa: 1. Mi�.Don Stecker finish hi.s reports. 2. Mr. Lindemer complete his application forms. IIpon motion by Kenaedy, seoond by Olmen, the transfer of licensea from Dob Stecker to Mr. John Lindemer be allowed with the understapding that all reports, including the quarterlq report, be brought up to date and completed to the satisfaction of the cauncil. Motion carried. D9R. PERRY inquired as to wheq settlements vaould be made known on the 13 .pareels of land that was condemned. b�. Crepeau stated that it was in the hands of the Judges on the matter. �BR. OLMEN - PUBLIC WORKS GOPu�iIITTEE, etated roads were going along fairly well. There had been a few more caveins. Sewers were being hooked up too. Some blading wes pecessarp but that all road work was being kept to a minimum at present. Mr. Peterson of Bannister Engineering was asked to check on Bob Adams driveway. Also Mr. Beppedy and h�r. Olmen�s d�af.nage problems mere again brought to his attention. Mr. Crepeau asked Pdr. Peterson to check on the Nelson sLtuation, thia ia holding up some of the sewer project. EdR. KENNIDY - PIIBLIC P]ELFAAE COI�dITTEE - ivir. Kennedy had a request from Mr. Leslie Nordin, 491 67th St. N. E. Minneapolis asking what sectiop of our ordinanoe he would be violating if he stores a trailer op a resident- ial area. Referred to Bdr. Courtney, village attornay. Clerk to write letter to Mr. Nordin advising him. Dgi. NORDIN elso asked if he could consider his home a single family resi- dence if he built a 40 to 50 ft. breezeway Prom his homt to a aecond build- ing under 1,000 aq. st.
