The meeting was callad to order at 5:00 p.m. by Mayor Ashbach.

the Minnesota Highvray Department.

from letter into plana wherever posaiblo. Carried.

Mr. Burandt reported a drainage problem at Glenarden Road cauaipg flooded
basements at the Colby and Clerk residences. Counoil requeated Epgipeer
Burandt to inform Clarks and Colbys that when we determine the outoome of the
propoaed atreet improgement program for that area aPter the publio hearing
of June 19th, that the Council 1e favorable to working out some kind of solut�r
ion to the problem. Council requeated Mayor Ashbach to diacuas a ditching
plan with eoptractor for B�innesota Highway Dept. when TH 51 is put through to
try to eliminate at least part of the drainage problem.
�Motion made b Stromquiat, seconded by Kenoedy that cheek No. 1098, Fund 603
in amount of �800.00 for easementa 3050 and 3051 be approved for payment.

Council discussed poasible purchese of the old fire station at New Brighton
Road Yrom the Iake Johanaa Voluataer Fire Dept. Trusteea Olmen and Aennedy
to atudy the matter, diecusa oost, etc. apd report back to councsil,

provement proceeding knoxn as Arden Hills sanitary sexer improveme� ns�mber

irg, maintaining and operaiir� a sanitary �wer syst¢m within a portion of
the Village of Arden Hi11s, and

idHEREAS, it is necessary, advisable, and in the pvbiic interest as a
part af said saaitary sewer i�rovemeat nvmber 2 that the Village of Arden
Hi11s construct� ma3�ain and aperate a sanitary sewer within Section 33s
Township 30, Ra�7e 23, in the Uillage of Arden Hil1s, and
WF�REAS, in order to accomp2ish such pzupose it is �cessary to acquire
the larxi described in the attached parcei, and
WHF.REAS� the Uillage Cotuxcil has been unable to acquir¢ the necessary
easement over said land from the owr�ers at a price deemed by the Council to
