Courtney regarding these changes; copies . of this letter were sent by the attorney to tAe Mayor ar+d chatrman of the planning commissfon. Atty. Courtney informed the councti of his conference with the local 49 - unio� representative concerning the wage rate paid by the vfilage to `probationery employees in the ma{ntonance department. Courtney reported on the status of the response from the thirteen home owners on the east side of Lake Johan'na regarding wai�ers of trespass contracts to alloH the water line to be constructed sionq the lake rather than Snelling Avenue; six signed contracts had been returned. Peter Lametti, 3331��Jo Snelling Ave, and John t. Marquard, 3427 No Sne{ling Ave, wrote tetters stating disac�reement to the p�an. The�council had previously determined that unless each of the thirtean property owners agreed to waivers of trespa5s, the alternate plan would be used. Councilman tlolle�horst moved, seconded 6y CounCilman Henderson, that Banister Engineering Co. be directed to change the plans to shpw tha water installation along Sne{ling Avenue; motion carried. N.S.P. Contract - Booster Station Engineer Lund stated this co�tract is not unusual; #he vlllage already has similar ones involving.the lift stations. Atty. Courtney informed the council that he had written to RaMsey County�and also talked with Floyd Snyker of the Ramsay County Engineer's Oftice regarding this problem. Roseviile and Ramsey County have agreed to pay a percentage ot the cost of a feasibility report. Councilma� Crepeau moved, as recommended by Atty. Courtney, that Banister Engineering Co. be authortzed to prepare a feasibflity report, subject to the engineer's eariier report and the cost Iimita- ttons therein (estimated cost of 57500); seconded by Councilman Hollenhorst; motion carried. Mayor Bjorndahl inqutred as to the possibflity of extending the county ditch which now terminates at Littte Johan�a. Atty. Countilman Hollenhorst moved, seconded by Councilman Crepeau, that the dratt of the Resoiution regardtng the amended housing policy be referred again to the planntng commisston; motion carried. � � � Sanitary Sewer Ordinance - First Reading Councilman Crepeau introduced by title and moved the First Readin9 be given fio an Ordinance amending Ordinances 53 and 89, relating. to the munfc(pal sanitary sewer system, by changing the rates and charges prescribed for sewage disposai; seconded by Councilma� Hollen- horst; motion carried. Atty. Courtney reported that he had received a new version of the Arden Ili11s - Rosevitle sewer contract; he sub- mTtted carbon copies of this to the Clerk Administrator and Englneer for study. HUD Report - Chicago Meeting Mayor 8jorndahl reported on the meeting regerding the requested tederal water grant, which he, Treasurer Read and Engineer Hendrickson attended i� Chicago with HUO represeni'atives on Wednesday, February 5, 1969. He stafied that supplemental information is required such es the Arden Htlls - Rosevflle water contract, the Roseville - Sfi. Paui water contract, letters ot consent to furnish A ei Hilis water from St. Paul and Roseville, a statement from the n Health Department approvtng the system; the flood possib(litles in Arden hitils a�d a statement regarding the human rtghts aspect. Mayor Bjorndahl reported that the HUO group was non-committal but there might be a delay in the consideration of the applicatlon due, in part, to the change in administration. It would be beneficia) to Arden Htlls to submit the additional information as soon as possible; Mayor Bjorndahl is hoping to send it to HUD within a week or so. Mayor BJorndahl felt the necessity for water for the new school being buflt and the 116rary, which is being built with 4ederal assistance, should be an Tmportant item in the HUD study.. Atty.
