Fv Kennedy � Lcrraine Stromyuist, bic�� a.nd setting AIo. 7 and Street C erk Inrraine tromqui. - • STATE OF MTNNESOTA COUNTY OF RAIdSEY VILLA6E OF ARDEN HLLLS � RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS� CALLING PUBLIC HEARING ON SEWER II�ROVLMENT AND STREET IEIPROVEMENT ON OAK AVENUE� 9ND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS ON SAID II�II.'ROVEMEIdTS WHEREAS, pursuant to resolution adopted by this Conncil on November 1, 1963, Banister Engineering Company has prepared and submitted to the Council plans and specifications for installing the saniffiry sewer in Oak Avenue from its intersection with Lake Johanna Boulevard to the northerly termination of said Oak Avenue, and for tha subsequent improvement of Oak Avenue as described hy installation thereon of a bituminous-surfaced roadway to the width of 30 feet, NOW THEREFOREt BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of Arden Hi11s as £ollows: (1) The plans and specifications of Banister Engineering Company for the street improvement and sewer improvement on Oak Avenne as hereinbefore referred to, which plans and specifications are on file with the Clerk, are hereby in things approved. (2) The improvement of Oak Avenue as hereinbefore described by install- � ation therein of a sanitary sewer and by installation thereon of a bituminous- surfaced roadway, at an estimated total cost of $15,500.00 for the sewer improvement and $18,500,00 for the street improvement, and the assessment of the abutting property for all or a portion of said cost, all pursuant to Sections 429.011 to 429.11 of the Minnesota Statutes, sha11 be considered by the Council in accordance with such provisions. (3) A public hearing for said purpose shall be held on both of said impravements, by separate hearings thereon, on the 26th day of November, 1963, in the Village Hall at 1450 West Aighway No. 96, Arden Hills, at 8 o'clock P.M., and the Clerk shall give mailed and published notice of such hearings as required by law. - 1 - . i � (4) The Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the New Brighton Bulletin, the official Village paper, and in the Construction Bulletin an adveztisement for bids upon the making of Uoth of said improvements pursuant to said approved plans and specifications therefor. Said advertisement shall be published twice in the New Brighton Bulletin, with at least ten days elapsin between the first puhlication therein and the opening of bids. Publication in the Construction Bulletin shall he made at least once. (5) The advertisement for bids sha11 speci£y the work to be done and sha11 state that bids will be opened and considered by the Council at 3 o'clock, P.M, on Tuesday, November 26, 1963 in the Village Iia11, and that no bids will he considered unless-sealed and filed with the Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the Clerk for ten per cent of the amount of such bid. (6) The Village C1erk and a representative of Banister Engineering Co., Village Engineers, are hereby designated as representatives of the Council for the purpose of opening and tabulating the aforesaid bids at the stated time of 3 p,M. on November 26, 1963, and the bids will then be considered by the Counci at 8 P,M, on November 26, 1963. (o WI�EEREAS, pursuant to resolution of the Council adopted pctober 28, 1963, Banister Engineering Company, Village Engineers, were directed to prepare a feasibility report on the desirability of improving Oak Avenue from Lake Johanna Boulevard to its northem termination, by installing therein a sanitary sewer and by suhsequently improving the street, and WHEREAS, a report thereon dated Nwember 1, 1963 by Banister Engineering has been received with reference to said improvements, which report declares that the improvements are feasible and gives the estimated costs thereoE, NOW THEREFORE� BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Village of Arden Hills as follows: (1) The said report of Banister Engineering Company dated November 1, 1963 is hereby accepted and approved, (2) Banister Engineering Corapany, Village Engineers, shall forthwi:th � of said improvements and advertising for bids thereon. Said action shall be taken preliminary to setting a public hearing on both At est: J � y/ ' li(/l�l-,.,.J� 4�Q/1 Clerk STATE OF MlNNESOTA COUNTY OF RAMSEY VILLAGE OF ARDEN HILLS • RESOLUTION CHANGING ELECTION HOURS FOR VILLAGE ELECTIONS Wf�REAS, the election hours for Village elections have heretofore been 1 P,M, to 8 P.M., and WFIEREAS, some residents of the Village have requested that the hours be lengthened to permit �orning voting, and Wf�REAS, the applicable statutes of the State of Minnesota permit the Council to establish hours for Village elections at such times as the Council deems appropriate, with a minimum of three hours voting time, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVE➢ that until further action hy this Council pursuant to state 1aw the hours of voting at Village elections of the Village of Arden Hi11s shall be 7 o'clock A.M. to 8 o'clock P.M. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this change in voting hours sha11 be effective commencing with the Village election scheduled for December 3, 1963, and thereafter until further action of the Council, and that appropriate notice of this change shall be given by the Clerk.
