general order of business and considered separately in its normal sequence on
the agenda,

SUBJECT: Public Hearing and Presentation: Truth in Taxation
2007 Tax Lcvy and Proposed Budget
Attached is a copy of the prescntation matcrials for Monday's Truth in Taxation Hearing, [n
tenns of the budget information contained in the presentation, it is based on the blldget as
proposed and presented to the City Council at the November 20 work scssion, with the foll()\ving
changes:
. Deletcd estimatcd expenditures ($50,000) and revenues (S22,000) relation to thc
Celebrating Arden Hills Event (net $28,0(0)
. . Decreased contribution to Northwest Youth and Family Scrvices contribution from
$5,000 to $4,000
. Added funding for possible City survey ($10,500)
. Added funding for needs assessment of Fire Station #1 ($5,000)
The net decrease in expenditures was applied to the operating transfers. The total for operating
transfers is designated 25(% to the PIRlCapital Fund and 75("';, to the Public Safety Capita] Fund,
We will do our best to address qucstions raiscd on Monday evening. To the extent we cannot,
Council has the ability to continue the hearing to 6:30 p,m. on Monday, Deccmber ] I,
