RESOLUTION NO. 07-40
A RESOLUTION AWARDING THE 2007 PAVEMENT MANAGEMENT
PROGRAM
WHEREAS, pursuant to advertisement for bids for the improvement of the
following streets: Brighton Way, Lametti Lane, Lametti Circle, Connelly Avenue,
Briarknoll Circle, Briarknoll Drive, Dawn Circle East, Royal Lane, and Karth Lake
Circle, according to the plans and specifications thereof on file in the office of the City
Administrator of said City, said bids were received on Tuesday, March 13,2007, at 11 :00
a.m., opened and tabulated according to law and the following bids were received
complying with the advertisement:

Northwest Asphalt, Inc. $1,128,076.07
North Valley, Inc. $1,139,329.88
T.A. Schifsky and Sons, Inc. $1,143,271.50
Tower Asphalt $1,158,163.86
Park Construction $1,254,569.66
Bituminous Roadways $1,273,010.14
WHEREAS, it appears that Midwest Asphalt Corporation of Hopkins,
Minnesota, is the lowest responsible bidder at the tabulated price of$I,106,991.85;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA:
1. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter
into a contract with Midwest Asphalt Corporation for $1,106,991.85 in the name
of the City of Arden Hills for the above improvements according to the plans and
specifications thereof heretofore approved by the City Council and on file in the
office of the City Administrator.
2. This approval is contingent on the approval of the contract by the Roseville City
Council for their work included in the contract.
3. The City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all
bidders the deposits made with their bids except the deposits of the successful
bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until contracts have been
signed.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS
THIS 26th DAY OF MARCH, 2007.
