Recognizing National Public Works Week: May 20-26,2007
BACKGROUND
National Public Works Week is May 20th to May 26th. City staff would like to recognize the
services provided by our Public Works Department in protecting and repairing our public works
systems stich as water, sewers, storrn sewers, street, and public buildings on a routine basis. The
daily services and actions provided by the Arden Hills Public Works Department help to enhance
and protect the health, safety, comfort, and quality of life experienced by our residents.
The following is a list of the City's Public Works Department Employees and their year's of
service to the City:

RESOLUTION NO. 07-53
RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING NATIONAL PUBLIC WORKS WEEK:
MAY 20-26, 2007
WHEREAS, public works services provided in our community are an integral part of our
citizens everyday lives; and
WHEREAS, the support of an understanding and informed citizenry is vital to the efficient
operations of public works systems and programs such as water, sewers, streets and highways, and
public buildings; and
WHEREAS, the health, safety and comfort of this community greatly depend on these
facilities and services; and
WHEREAS, the efficiency of the qualified and dedicated personnel who staff the Public
Works Department are materially influenced by the people's attitude and understanding of the
importance of the work they perform.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Councii of the City of Arden
Hills, Minnesota that the City proclaims the week of May 20th to 26th as "National Public Works
Week" in the City of Arden Hills. All citizens and civic organizations are called upon to
recognize the contributions which the Public Works Department makes every day
to our health, safety, comfort, and quality of life.
