SUBJECT: Resolution No. 07-54: Appointing John Peck to serve on the Parks, Trails, and
Recreation Committee.

The City Council officially appointed Joani Werner and Wallace "Joe" Nosek to the Parks, Trails
and Recreation Committee (PTRC) at the Regular City Council Meeting on April 30, 2007.
Unfortunately, Wallace "Joe" Nosek informed the City that his job schedule has changed and he
will be unable to serve on the committee. The panel consisting of Greg Hoag, Public Works
Director; Bill Henry, Committee Chairperson; David McClung, City Council Liaison; and
Michelle Olson, Parks and Recreation Manager interviewed five candidates on April 19, 2007.
The remaining candidates are:

Mr. John Peck
Mr. Harold Peterson
After the review, the panel is recommending appointment of Mr. John Peck of 1740 Chatham
Avenue. John's application has been included for your review.
Staff Recommendations
Staff recommends approval of Resolution Number 07-54: Appointing John Peck to serve on the
Parks, Trails, and Recreation Committee.

A RESOLUTION APPOINTING JOHN PECK TO SERVE ON THE
PARKS, TRAILS AND RECREATION COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, the City Council annually appoints residents to serve m an advisory
capacity to the City Council regarding parks, trails and recreation issues;
WHEREAS, the Parks, Trails, and Recreation Committee has one opening due to the
resignation of Wallace "Joe" Nosek;
WHEREAS, John Peck submitted an application and interviewed on April 19, 2007;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: The City Council appoints John Peck to serve on
the Parks, Trails and Recreation Committee.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS THIS
14th DAY OF MAY, 2007.
