TCAAP Parks and Trail Integration
BACKGROUND
With TCAAP design standards progressing, the integration of TCAAP parks and trails and the
existing Arden Hills is crucial. It is important for the City Council to define the role of the Parks
Trails and Recreation Committee (pTRC) in the comprehensive open space and park design
discussions. Below are some discussion points:
o How involved should the PTRC become in the TCAAP open space and park
design discussions?
o What is the role of the PTRC in these discussions?
o Should the Committee be involved in joint planning meetings with the City
Council and Development Team?
o How much input will the PTRC have into the final design concept?
o How does the City and the PTRC work together to ensure that the new Arden
Hills' parks and open spaces become integrated with the existing or old?
o How does the TCAAP developmeut become incorporated into the current
comprehensive plan and strategies envisioned by the PTRC?
o What is the current vision of the TCAAP open space and park plan?
o How involved should the PTRC be in the potential athletic field development?
RECOMMENDATION
This information is provided in order to facilitate a discussion between the Parks Trails and
Recreation Committee and the City Council regarding TCAAP Parks and Trail Integration.
