RESOLUTION NO. 07-68
RESOLUTION ADJUSTING THE SPECIAL ASSESSMENT ROLL
FOR TAX PARCEL 34-30-23-22-0028
WHEREAS, on September 11, 2006 the Arden Hills City Council adopted Resolution
No. 06-47, entitled "Resolution Adopting Special Assessment Roll for the 2006 PMP -
Ridgewood Neighborhood Improvements." (Attached as Exhibit A)
WHEREAS, the owners of tax parcel 34-30-23-22-0028 appealed the levy of special
assessments against their property.
WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills and the owners of tax parcel 34-30-23-22-0028
have resolved the special assessment appeal to their mutual satisfaction.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Arden Hills City Council that:
1. The special assessment levied against tax parcel no. 34-30-23-22-0028 by the City
of Arden Hills pursuant to resolution no. 06-47 are amended in the following
manner:
As of January 1, 2008 the remaining principal balance shall be $2,733.
Such adjusted assessment shall be payable in equal annual installments extending
over a period of nine (9) years, unless prepaid, the first installment to be payable
with the general taxes levied in 2007, collectable with such taxes during the year
2008, and shall bear interest at the rate of 9% per annum from January 1, 2008. To
the first installment shall be added interest on the entire assessment from January 1,
2008 until December 31, 2008. To each subsequent installment when due shall be
added interest for one (1) year on all unpaid installments.
The City Administrator shall forthwith prepare and transmit a certified duplicate of
this adjusted assessment roll to be extended on the property lists of the county.
Such special assessment shall be collected and paid over in the same manner as
other municipal taxes.

RESOLUTION ADOPTING SPECIAL ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR THE 2006 PMP-
RlDGEWOOD NEIGBORHOOD IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, pursuant to proper notice duly given as required by law, the Council has
met and heard and passed upon all objections to the proposed assessment for the
improvement of the City of Atden Hills 2006 Pavement Management Program improvement
of Siems Court between Lake Johanna Boulevard and the cui de sac of Siems Court, Arden
Place between Siems Court and Snelling Avenue, Ridgewood Road between Lake Johanna
Boulevard and Atden Place, Skiles Lane between Atden Place and Snelling Avenue, for the
reconstruction of the street by the installation of asphalt paving, concrete curb and gutter,
storm sewer, utility repair, landscaping and necessary appurtenances,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and the City Council that:
I. Such proposed assessment roll, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof,
is hereby accepted and shall constitute the special assessment against the lands na..'1led
therein, and each tract of land therein included is hereby found to be benefited by the
proposed improvement in the amount of the assessment levied against it.
2. Such assessment shall be payable in equal annual installments extending over a period of
10 years, unless prepaid, the first of the installments to be payable with general taxes levied
in 2006, collectible with such taxes during the year of2007, and shall bear interest at the rate
of ~ percent per annum from the date of the adoption of this assessment resolution. To
the first installment shall be added interest on the entire assessment from the date of this
resolution until December 31,2006. To each subsequent installment when due shall be added
interest for one year on all unpaid installments.
3. If the adopted assessment differs from the proposed assessment as to any particular lot,
piece, or parcel of land, the City Administrator shall mail to the owner a notice stating the
amount of the adopted assessment. The administrator must also notify affected owners of
any changes adopted by the Council in interest rates or prepayment requirements from those
contained in the notice of the proposed assessment.
4. The owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the
assessment to the county auditor, pay the whole of the assessment on such property, to the

City Administrator, no interest shall be charged if the entire assessment is paid within 30
days from the adoption of the assessment. He may at any time thereafter, pay to the County
Auditor the entire amount of the assessment remaining unpaid, with interest accrued to
December 31 of the year in which such payment is made. Such payment must be made
before November 15 or interest will be charged through December 31 of the succeeding year.
5. The City Administrator shall forthwith prepare and transmit a certified duplicate of this
assessment to the County Auditor to be extended on the property tax lists of the county. Such
assessments shall be collected and paid over in the same manner as other municipal taxes.
