RESOLUTION NO. 07-78
A RESOLUTION REQUESTING RAMSEY COUNTY SUPPORT FOR
TRANSPORTATION PROJECT FUNDING
WHEREAS, as part of the potential redevelopment project of the Twin Cities Army
Ammunitions Plant (TCAAP) site in the City of Arden Hills (City), the City recognizes the need
to improve the interchange of County Highway 96 and U.S. Highway 10 and the interchange of
County Road Hand I-35W (the "Interchange Projects");
WHEREAS, the Interchange Projects are transportation infrastructure of major regional
significance; and
WHEREAS, the redevelopment project of the TCAAP site will provide significant
regional econornic development; and
WHEREAS, the City intends to request support from the federal government through
special legislation in the 2009 legislative session; and
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of Arden Hills does hereby
request support from Ramsey County, and other agencies that would benefit from such
improvements, in seeking U.S. federal appropriations for the purpose of funding appropriate
improvements to the interchange of Highway 96 and U.S. Highway 10 and the interchange of
County Road Hand I-35W.
