Approve Plans and Specifications and Authorize Advertisement for
Bids for the Ridgewood-Asbury Rain Garden Improvements
BACKGROUND
At the February 11, 2008, City Council Meeting, the City Council did not approve the
reconstruction of Ridgewood Road and Asbury Avenue from the City limits to Glenhill Road.
However, the construction of rain garden improvements was approved.
DISCUSSION
In order to obtain competitive bid prices and economies of scale, this project will be combined
with the City of Roseville's 2008 Street Improvement Project. This project will be led and
managed by the City ofRoseville Engineering Department in conjunction with their project.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS
The estimated cost for the rain garden construction, including engineering, is $12,000. This will
be funded using the Surface Water Enterprise Fund. No assessments will be levied for this
proj ect.
