STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION NO. 2008-020
APPROVING PRELIMINARY DESIGN POSITIONS
FOR INTERSTATE 694, HIGHWAY 10
AND COUNTY ROAD 96 PROJECTS
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Arden Hills (the "City"), as
follows:
WHEREAS, the City is in the process of considering three road improvement projects
located in part the City, identitied as tallows:
(a) Interstate 694 trom Interstate 35E to 35W;
(b) Grade separation of Highway 10 and County Road 96; and
(c) Aeeess between Highway lO and County 96 after grade separation;
(referred to together as the "Road Projects")
WHEREAS, the Road Projects are being undertaken primarily by the Minnesota
Department of Transportation ("MnDOl'''), Ramsey County (the "County") and City of Arden
Hills (the "City"), either in lead or cooperative roles, depending on the project, with input from
the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has identitied various issues and concerns that must be
addressed as part of preliminary design work for each of the Road Projects, which concerns arc
summarized in the document titled "Arden Hills Interstate 694, Highway 10 and County Road 96
Preliminary Design Issues and Position," attached hereto as Exhibit A (the "Position Paper").
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Arden
Hilts as follows:
I. The City approves the Position Paper.
2. City staff, consultants and the Mayor and Interim City Administrator are
authorized and directed to take all actions and execute any documents necessary to carry out the
intent of this resolution, including without limitation delivery of a copy of this resolution to
MnDOl' and the County.
