HomeMy WebLinkAbout03-31-08-S Approved: April 14, 2008 CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING MARCH 31, 2008; 6:30 PM ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS, SMALL CONFERENCE ROOM CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor Stan Harpstead called to order the regular City Council meeting at 6:30 p.m. Present: Mayor Stan Harpstead; Councilmembers David Grant, Brenda Holden, David McClung, Fran Holmes (listening by phone) and Teri Bly from Personnel Decisions International. Mayor Harpstead moved approval of the agenda (seconded by Councilmember McClung) containing two items, review of interview summary and closed session for certain matters concerning litigation. Motion carried 4-0. Mayor Harpstead began by introducing Terri Bly. Terri Bly presented the various matrices and comments from the Council and staff interviews of the six candidates for the position of City Administrator. A discussion ensued. City Council discussed the matrices and comments and asked Personnel Decisions Incorporated to conduct a selections assessment consisting of further performance reviews, interviews and background checks on three candidates, Ron Moorse, Melinda Coleman and Jim Norman. The Council was joined at 6:45 p.m. by City Attorney John Miller and Assistant City Administrator Noah Simon. Mayor Harpstead moved to close the meeting for the purpose of discussing with the City's attorney certain matters concerning the litigation which has been commenced by Flaherty's Arden Bowl, as Plaintiff, and, the Cities of Arden Hills and Roseville, as Defendants. Councilmember Grant seconded the motion. Motion carried 4-0. ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL - March 31, 2008 2 ADJOURN MOTION: Mayor Harpstead moved and Councilmember Holden seconded a motion to adjourn the meeting.
