SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING
APRIL 24,2008; 7:00 PM

CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor Stan Harpstead called to order the regular
City Council meeting at 7:13 p.m.
Present:
Mayor Stan Harpstead; Councilmembers David Grant, Brenda Holden,
David McClung, Fran Holmes and Harry BruII from Personnel Decisions
International (by phone).
Mayor Harpstead moved approval of the agenda (seconded by Councilmember McClung)
containing one item; review of assessments performed by Personnel Decisions IntI
on the three candidates for position of City Administrator. Motion carried 5-0.
Harry Brull presented findings and assessment on three candidates for tIle position of City
Administrator. In summary; all three are different people; they are all possible
candidates; all have expertise in areas of development; they are different in terms of
"aggressiveness"; they have different leadership styles. A discussion ensued.
Motion: Councilmember McClung moved to instruct Personnel Decision International to
initiate an offer to Ron Moorse, with a package containing a salary comparable to
his last salary of $104,000. Motion seconded by Brenda Holden. The motion
carried unanimously (5-0).
ADJOURN
Councilmember McClung moved and Councilmember Grant seconded a motion to adjourn the
meeting. The motion carried unanimously (5-0).
