~ SEGTION l, Any person who shall strike or attempt to strike y
or in ary un .a~rful manner offer to do or do ar~y bodily harm to
another person; or unlawfully make an attempt to apply any degree
of- farce or violence to the person of another; or in a violent, rude9
angry, cir insolent maruner tou,ch or 1ay hands upon the pe rson of
another, shall be guilty of an assault wh,ich is hereby declared to
be a misdemeanor arr3 shall be pun3.sh.ed by imprisoranent in the
count jail for not more than three months, vr by a fine of not more
than ~100.00
