Home My WebLink About#069 Zone Amend to Allow Multiple Dwellings ~ j / I STATE OF MINNESOTA COUNTY OF RAM$EY VILLAGE OF AADEN HILLB ORDINANCE NUMBER 69 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDI- NANCE NUMBER 18, THE ZONING ORDINANCE, TO PROVIDE FOR MUI- TIPLE DWELLING3 The Village Council of the Village of Arden Hills does hereby ordain as fol- lowa, to-wit : SECTION 1. parasraph (A) of Section 8 of Ordi- nanee Number 18, known as the Zoning Ordinance, is hereby amend- esi to read as follows: (A) In order to regulate and re- strict the location of trades, in- dustriea and other uses, and the lo- cation of buildinga designed, erect- ed, altered or oceupied for sPecified purposes; to regulate and limit the height and size of buildinga here- after erected or altered ; to regulate and determine the area of yards and other open sPaces> and to regulate and limit the density oP population, the Village af Arden HiAs is here- by divided into dietricts of which there shall be six, known as R-E. . R-1, R-2 (resiaential), R-3 (multiple dwellings), C (commercial) and I (induatrial}. SECTION 2. Section 4 of Urdinance Number 18, known as the Zoning Ordinance, is hereby amended to add the following under "Permitted Uses:^ R-3: Multiple Dwellinga REGULATIONS FOR MULTIPLE DWELLING AISTRICTS In the multiple dwelling diatrict, unless otherwise provided in thie ordinance, no bnilding or land shall be used and no building shall here- after be erected or atructurally al- tered except Yor uaea permitted with reapect to other residential dis- tricts as hereinbefore provided, or except for uae as a multigle dwell- ing, including particularly, but with- out limitation, double bungalows, apartments and flats. Apglieation for swch a permit shall be made to the Couneil. In consider- ing such apglication the Council shall proceed in accordance with the pmvisions of Section 5 af this Ordi- nance and may prescribe, as a con- dition to the issuance of such per- mit, suitable off etreet parking, screen planting, and sebbacks in ac- cordance with the nrovisiona of Section 5 hereof, or such other con- ditions as the Council may deem prnper in accordanee with general purposea of this Zoning Ordinance.
