ORDINANCE N0. 253
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2 OF THE ARDEN HILLS CODE
BY RESERVING SECTIONS AT THE END OF ARTICLE III THEREOF FOR
FUTURE USE AND BY ADDING THERETO A NEW ARTICLE IV,
ENTITLED "ENFORCEMENT", AND A NEW SECTION 2-94
PERTAINING TO ISSUANCE OF aRDINANCE VIOLATION SDMMONSES
The City Council of the City of Arden Hills hereby ordains:
Section 1. Amendment to-Article III, Division 2, of Chapter
2 of the Arden Hills Code to Reserve Certain Sections for Future
Use. Article III, Division 2 of Chapter 2 of the Arden Hills
Code is hereby amended by adding thereto, at the end thereof the
following;
"Secs. 2-89 2-93. Reserved.
Section 2. Amendment to Chapter 2 of Arden Hills Code by
Adding Thereto a New Article IV Entitled "Enforcement". Chapter
2 of the Arden Hills Code is hereby amended by adding thereto, at
the end thereof, a new Article IV entitled as follows:
"ARTICLE IV. ENFORCEMENT
Division 1 '
Officers and Agents"
Section 3. Amendment to Chapter 2 of Arden Hills Code by
Adding to Article IV, Division 1 Thereof a New Section 2-94.
Chapter 2 of the Arden Hills Code is hereby amended by adding to
Article III, Division 1 thereof a new Section 2-94 which reads as
follows:
"Sec. 2-94. Issuance of ordinance violation summonses.
The persons hereafter named, as employees or agents of
the city, shail have power to issue summonses with
complaints incorporated therein (citations), in the form
adopted by the rule of the court, but such issuance by
those named shall relate only to offenses involving the
Code; building construction, operation or maintenance;
fire and fire prevention; public health and sanitation;
and zoning. No such emgloyee, or agent, hereinafter
authorized to issue said summonses shall be authorized

to arrest or otherwise take a violator into custody or
to secure a promise to appear in court in lieu of
arrest. Those authorized are as follows:
building inspector/code enforcement officer
fire chief and assistant fire chief
community service officer .
health officer plumbing inspector
mechanieal inspector
electric inspector
other employees, or agents, of the city duly designated
from time to time by the city council"
Section 4. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall be
effective from and after its adoption by the Arden Hills City
Council and its publication in the New Brighton Bulletin.

Chapter 2 af the Arden Hills Code is hereby amended by adding to
Article III, Division 1 thereof a new Section 2-94 which reads as
follows:
'Sec. 2-94. Issuance of ordinance violation summonses.
The persons hereafter named, as employees or agents of
the city, shall have power to issue summonses with
complaints incorporated therein (citations), in the form
adopted by the rule of the court, but such issuance by
those named shall relate only to offenses involving the
Code; building construction, operation or maintenance;
fire and fire prevention; public health and sanitation;
and zoning. No such employee, or agent, hereinafter
authorized to issue said summonses shall be authorized

to arrest or otherwise take a vialator into custody or
to secure a promise to appear in court in lieu of
arrest. Those authorized are as fallows:
building inspector/code en€orcement officer
fire chief and assistant fire chie€
community service officer .
health officer
plumbing inspector
mechanical inspector
electric inspector
other employees, or agents, af the city duly designated
from time to time by the city council"
Section 4. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall be
effective from and after its adoption bg the Arden Hills City
Council and its publication in the New Brighton Bulletin.
