AN QRDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 21-4(B)(22)(c) AND
21-7 ( f)( 2) AND ADDTNG A NEW SUBSECTION (q )
TO SECTION 21-7 OF THE ARDEN HILLS CODE
12ELATING TO CHANGEABLE CIJPY SIGNS
The Arden Hills City Council ordains:
Section 1. Deletion of Last Sentence of Section
21-4(B) 22 (c) of Arden Hills Code Relating to Changeable Copy
-Si-9n-s-. The last sentence of Section 21=4 (B) (22) (c) of the Arden
H311s Code is hereby deleted so that said provision reads as
' follows:
"(c) Changeable copy sign. A sign which is
designed to allow for periodic changes in
copy or symbols, either by manual or electronic means. This definition shall
include time and temperature signs."
Section 2. Revision of Section 21-7 ( f)( 2) of Arden Hi 11 s
Code Relating tn Changeable Cop_y Signs. Section 21-7(f)(2) of
the Arden Hills Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
"(2) Changeable copy signs shall be considered as
part of the allowable area for a business
sign."
Section 3. Addition of New Subsection (g) to Section 21-7
of Arden Hills Code Relating to Chanqeable Copy Signs. Section
21-7 of the Arden Hills Code is hereby amended by adding thereto.
a new Subsection (g) which reads as follows:
"(g) A business sign consisting solely of change- -
able copy shall not be permitted. Changeable
copy signs shall be allowed only when
designed and constructed as part of a
business sign containing permanent copy
identifying the business to which it relates.
The chanqeable copy portion shal.l not exceed
fifty percent (50$) of the total area af the
business sign of which it is a part."
• Section 4. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall be
effective from and after the date of its adoption by the Arden
Hills City Council and publication in the New Brighton Bulletin.
