The Village Cauncil of the Village of
Arden Hills dces herehy ordain as follows: I
Section I. Ordinance No. 23 is hereby
repealed. I
Sectidr 2. It shall be unlawful for any
' minor under the age of 18 years to luit-
ter, idle or be in or upon the pub;ic ~
streets, highways, raadst alleys, parks,
playgrounds or o'ther pubhc ground5, pub- ,
lic places and public buildings, places of
amusement, entertainment, ar refresh-
inent, vacar.t lots ar other unsvpervised ,
places between the hovrs of 10;00 o'cldck
' P.M. and 5:00 o'clock A.M. the follawing
day; provided, however, that the provisio'n
of this section shall nat apply to such
miror accompanied by his or her parent,
guardian Ur other having the care and
custaiy of the minar or when the minor
is upon some necessary errand by per- I
mission or direction csf his or her parents,
guardian or ather adult person havmg the
care and custody of the ininor, which said
permission shall be in writing and signed

Sectian 3. It shall be unlawful for the
, parent, guardian or other adult having the
care and custedy of a minor under the age
of 18 years of age to permit such minor
to loiter, idle or be in upon the public
streets, hi.ghways, roads, alleys, parlcs,
playgrounds, ar other public grounds, pub-
. ]ic pfaces and bvildings, places of amuse-
ment, entertainment or refreshment, va-
cant lots, or other unsunercised places be-
tween the hours of 10:00 dclcek P.M. and
5:00 dclock A,M, di the following day;
provided, hawever, that the provisions of
this section shall not apply when the min-

gnardian ar other adult person having
the care and custody of the minor or when
' the minor is upon same necessary errand
by written permission or direction aE his

son having the care and custody of the
minor.
Section 4. It shall be nnlawful for any

in charge of any place of amusement, en-
tertainment, or reEreshment to permit any
mindr under the age o( 18 years of age
to remain in such place during the hours
prohibited by this ordinance; provided,
however, that the pravisions of this ordi-
nance shall ndt apply when such minor
is accompanied by his or her parent, guar-
dian or other adult person having the
care and custody of the minar.
Section 5. The Mayor, updn the re4uest
of the Superintendent of any schools in
the County of Ramsey may designate cer-
tain nights during the school as "SchUnl
Nights" or "Youth Nights" at such times
as said schools shali be engaged in ath-
letic, musical, dramatic or sacia] activi-
ties for the benefit Qr entertainment af
its students. The provisions of Sections 2
or 3 of this ardinance shall not apply td
any student nnder the age of 18 years of
age or to his parent, guardian or other
adult persun havixlg the care and custody
attendtng or retvrning from any such
school function dn any designated "Schaol
NighY" ar "Youth Night".
Sectian 6. A.ny minor under the age of
18 years, or any parent, guardian or ath-
er adult persan having the care and cus-
tody of a minor under the age of 18 years
or any, person, Eirm or corporation, wha
shal] violat any of the terms or pravisions
nf such minar who is lawfully going to,
of this ordinance shall be guilty of a mis-
demeanor and shall, upon conviction be

00 or by imprisonment ia the County
Jail not to exceed 90 days.
Section 7. T'his ardinance shall take et-
fect and be in force fiFteen (15) days iram
